Melchizedek Blessed Abraham

    10.02.22 | Grace Kids

Melchizedek means “king of righteousness.” Melchizedek reminds us of Jesus, an even greater priest and king who lives forever. Jesus died on the cross and rose again to bless all who trust in Him by providing forgiveness and eternal life.

    Family Activities:

    For Fun...

    1. Host a royal costume party for your family and a few of your kids’ friends. Encourage the kids to dress as kings, queens, princes, or princesses. Make paper crowns and decorate them with glitter or adhesive jewels. Talk to your kids about Melchizedek’s role in pointing us to Jesus, the perfect Priest and King.

    2. Lookup the origin and meaning of each family member’s name. If you chose a child’s name because of its meaning, share why you did. Talk about how the meaning of Melchizedek, “king of righteousness,” is a sign that points us to Jesus as the perfectly righteous King.

    To Serve...

    1. Bake cookies for the pastors and leaders of your church. Deliver the cookies and encourage them in the work God has called them to do and thank them for helping your family see how the Bible points us to Jesus as the greater priest and king.
