Our History

The Story So Far

Grace Church was planted in the spring of 2005. Following God’s call to plant a strategic church that could ultimately plant new churches throughout Texas and beyond, Craig Cabaniss and his family moved from the church he led in San Diego, CA. God graciously provided twenty families from Sovereign Grace churches around the country to join together and plant what has become a growing church focused on the gospel through worship, expository preaching, small groups and outreach. Since that time, God has met us and provided for us in incredible ways.

For the first few years of Grace Church's existence, we met in hotels and various elementary schools. In 2009, the Lord provided both a piece of land in Frisco Square for our future church building and a temporary building just north of our future home. The land was generously donated by a Christian developer in the City who has the heart to see the Gospel proclaimed in Frisco. (God even sovereignly had our streets named Grace Street and Church Street long before any of us were even aware the land was available.)

Because of God's continued blessing and the faithful stewardship and generosity of the members of Grace Church, we are now so excited to be in what we believe will be our permanent home in Frisco Square, at the center of Frisco!

The VISION

Our vision, simply put, is to see Jesus' mission fulfilled in Frisco and beyond. Our mission is to follow Jesus on the mission: to make disciples who love Jesus, His church and His world. We know God has placed us here in the heart of Frisco for specific purposes, and we are eager to serve and bless Frisco and the surrounding communities for generations to come.
