  1. Read Ephesians 3:14-20. Why do you think Paul prayed this prayer for the Church? In other words, what need(s) of the church was he praying for God to meet? Why do we need this same prayer?
  2. When in your life have you felt the most wonder or awe over Gods saving grace for you? How would you compare that to the wonder you have recently been experiencing?
  3. What may be contributing to any decrease in affections or awe?
  4. How well do you embrace your identity as “sent one”? Is it as fundamental to your identity as “forgiven one” or “chosen one” or “adopted one”? Why or why not?
  5. How does your embrace of this identity impact the way you view the various spheres you currently live in?
  6. What sort of clear opportunities has God opened up for you to walk toward as His “sent one”?Where in your life (or with what people) are you less ready to live out this identity?

Text: Romans 12:1-2

Sermon Title: When We Scatter

Date: February 2, 2020

  1. What's does the liturgy of your typical day look like? (How does it begin? What do your transition points look like? Where are your moments of thanks? Your “moments of wow”? How does your day end?)
  2. All of our ordinary life is to be worship including sleeping, eating, going to work, and walking-around-life. Which of these is the easiest for you to see as worship? Which is the most difficult? Why?
  3. Is a view of Gods mercy motivating you at work, whether in or out of the home? Explain.
  4. Why do you think it is important to attach our work for Him to what He has already done and/or continues to do for us (His mercy)?
  5. What about who God is or what He has done for you convinces you of His mercy?
  6. How can you keep Gods mercy in view this week at work?
  7. Where can you tweak your “liturgy” and better open your moments to God?
