Text: 1 Corinthians 7:25-40

Sermon Title:  A Better Story: Singleness

Date: 5/12/2024

Loving Jesus

1.  How much thought have you given to the fact that the most whole person who’s ever lived was single? What implications does this have for all of us?

Loving His People

2.  Sam Allberry wrote, “Paul is not saying that singleness is spiritual and marriage unspiritual. Nor is he saying that singleness is easy, but marriage is hard. No, the contrast is between complexity and simplicity. Married life is more complicated; singleness is more straightforward.” As a disciple, what are the differences between married and single life? What are the similarities?

3.  How can you grow in seeing, valuing, and/or supporting people in the opposite station as you’re currently in?

Loving His World

4. The world says to be “whole” you must be romantically fulfilled. How does the Bible’s view of singleness display a superior story?
