JESUS SAVES US FROM OUR ENEMIES
God’s plan was always to send Jesus to die for the sins of the world. Jesus died on the cross, was buried, and rose on the third day. All who place their faith in Him will receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Hallelujah!

What would happen if you turned and stuck your tongue out at the person next to you? (discuss)
You might get in trouble, that person might feel offended maybe irritated, or maybe nothing would happen and you’d just look silly.
BUT let’s just imagine you go in trouble, in fact the FBI drop down on wires and say you’re going to be put into a prison for life…for sticking your tongue out at the person beside you. BUT you say that you didn’t do it! That wouldn’t be very good, in fact you’d probably get int worse trouble for lying. BUT what if instead of you blaming someone for what you did, someone willingly said they did it. If you agree that they did, they would get snagged away by the FBI.
Would you let that person take the fall for you? (discuss)
IT feels wrong to let that happen, but what if that person told you they wanted to do this for you – that they’ve always wanted to, that it was their plan all along. They never stuck their tongue out at anyone but they wanted to give you this gift of freedom. That is grace – a gift we DO NOT deserve. That is what Jesus did for our sins.
QUESTION: Did Jesus really die?
ANSWER: Yes! He did, and it is important that he did because if he didn’t then the punishment would still have to be dealt, which means we would all be separated from God. Our heavenly Father does not want us to be separated from him, but he cannot be in the presence of sin.
QUESTION: Do you know how this verse from Romans ends? "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is…"
ANSWER: For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord! (Romans 6:23)

Thank you for taking the place of a criminal and dying on the cross. Thank you for rising from the dead!

DAILY PRAYER FOR FAITH
The Bible tells us about a man who said to Jesus, “I believe, help my unbelief.” Ask Jesus to help you with your unbelief. Ask Him to give you faith in the areas where you might be doubting His love or His power. He is faithful to grow our faith and help us in our unbelief.
