Text: Romans 15:7

Sermon Title: Christian Hospitality

Date: 9-5-2021

1. Based on your hospitality track record, would you have welcomed someone like you into fellowship? How about a person that’s nothing like you? How does your answers magnify the hospitality of Jesus that you receive?

2. What obstacle(s) typically prevent you from welcoming other Christians into your life? What does keeping these particular obstacles give to you (what’s motivating you to keep them up)? What do they take away from you?

3.How have you personally witnessed the church focusing on “lovingly receiving other Christians who are not family into familial fellowship” impact non-Christians in your life? Why is this crucial to our witness to the watching world? Who’s one person in your life that you can invite in more deeply?

Getting the Story Right (Various Scriptures)

Community Group Discussion Questions

Helping one another love Jesus, His people, and His world.

Text:Getting the Story Right

Sermon Title: Various Scriptures
Date:8-15-21

  1. The fact that our King died in our place to atone for our sins on the cross and redeem us for the Father is enough to compel us to love Him forever. In what ways does a more complete understanding of the gospel story, which also emphasizes Creation and Restoration, compel us to love Jesus even more deeply?
  2. In what way(s) do we get to create a culture ( in our group and in our church), to benefit from ourselves and that extends the reign and blessings of Jesus to others? In what way(s) can you contribute to this culture making?
  3. How does this more complete gospel storyline we heard about meant to shape the way you’re to think about your specific “work week”? Whether in or out of your home, how will you engage your work differently this week as a result?
