MINISTRY SAFE VOLUNTEERS

If you are applying to volunteer with ministries that deal with minor children at Grace Church, please follow the steps below. (Please note that Grace Church covenant membership and at least 6 months of church involvement are required to be able to serve in ministries dealing with minors.)

Once you fill out and submit the online application and sign the appropriate policy manual, the ministry safe video training and quiz links will be e-mailed. After you complete the video training, take the quiz, and we have received all the references, we will contact you with a timeline for your interview. Please note that the MS process will take at least two weeks to be completed.

5 STEPS TO MINISTRY SAFE CERTIFICATION:

(RECOMMENDED: Complete Steps 1 & 2 in one sitting)

STEP 1:  FILL OUT THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FORM

This form is for any adult (18 years +) applying for Ministry Safe

This form is for all teens 11 (and have graduated from 5th grade) through 17 years of age applying for Ministry Safe

STEP 2:  READ AND SIGN THE APPROPRIATE POLICY MANUAL

AND/OR

STEP 3:  COMPLETE THE VIDEO TRAINING & QUIZ LINK

(Link will be emailed to you from admin@ministrysafe.com once you have completed STEPS 1 & 2 within 48 hours) 

OR

If your child is a dependent 15 years of age and under and applying to serve at Grace Church they are expected to complete the training in full. However, given the mature matters of the training videos, if you as a parent would prefer to refrain from having your child watch the training videos, you may sign this form agreeing to go over the training with them in a more age-appropriate manner, having completed the video training yourself.

Steps 1-3 must be completed 2 weeks before your initial serving date.

Ministry Safe Training is renewed every 2 years.

STEP 4:  REFERENCE AND BACKGROUND CHECKS WILL BE CONDUCTED

A confirmation email along with the REFERENCE FORM will be sent to you after you complete Step 1. It is YOUR responsibility to send out the reference form. Please follow up with your references since we will need to hear back from ALL your references prior to your interview date.

Background Check requests will be emailed to you from message@mobilizemyministry.com.

Background Checks are renewed every 2 years.

STEP 5:  PARTICIPATE IN A MINISTRY SAFE INTERVIEW

After you complete Step 4, we will contact you for a brief face-to-face interview with a pastor or a member of our staff. The interview should be scheduled at least one week before your initial serving date.

ONCE ALL THE ABOVE STEPS ARE COMPLETED, YOU ARE READY TO SERVE!
