LifeTalk Gala
10-11 volunteers are needed as runners at our annual fundraising gala on 
Saturday, October 14th, 5:00-9:30 p.m. Dinner will be provided for the volunteers and we request they wear black pants and a white shirt. The runners will need to be able to assist guests to seats, help serve, assist with drink refills & be attentive to the gala attendees. They will be mostly standing, walking & attending to the guests' needs.

Texas Free Care - Free Medical Clinic

Kids & Students

FISD - Disadvantaged Students
Economically disadvantaged families struggle to pay their monthly bills & rent and put food on the table. Obviously, that means that our economically disadvantaged families will not be able to purchase backpacks or school supplies for their child/children as they start the new school year. However, with your help and a small donation of 3 X 5 lined notecards ,which is listed on the school supply list, these students will be able to start the year with confidence thanks to your generosity and compassion. Samaritan’s Purse - Operation Christmas Child Job Opportunities
Samaritan’s Purse is looking for those who have a relationship with Jesus Christ and align with our mission. We are hiring 300 customer service and warehouse associates who are flexible and able to function well in a fast-paced environment. This includes Team Coaches, Greeters, Inventory Coordinators, Forklift Operators and Switch Drivers as well as those who are able to load and unload trucks as they are highly critical. Refugees & DISASTERS

Libya Floods
Islamic Relief Worldwide has launched an appeal seeking financial support to help Libyans impacted by the floods. They are working with local partners on the ground to provide food, blankets, mattresses, and other aid to families. They have already committed an initial  £100,000 ($125,000) to provide emergency assistance. You can find out more about how to donate here. 
Libya in the UK is a charity run by Libyan young people living in Britain. The organization is collaborating directly with the Libyan Red Crescent, which is operating in the country. You can donate via their GoFundMe page here or learn more about the organization here
CARE is an international organization that provides humanitarian relief during crises. They have been operating in Libya since 2021. You can learn more about their donation options here
The International Medical Corps has an in-country team in Libya that is providing shelter, mobile health systems, water, sanitation, and hygiene resources to those affected by the flooding. They are working in partnership with Libya’s Ministry of Health and local organizations to conduct assessments to determine if further assistance is needed from the International Medical Corps’ Emergency Response Unit. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent societies has been operating in Tripoli, Misrata, and Benghazi in the aftermath of the Libyan civil war, assisting with rehabilitation and economic support. You can donate to the IFRC’s work in Libya here.
UNICEF is a U.N. agency that focuses on the wellbeing of children. The organization has so far supplied 1,100 hygiene kits, essential clothing for 500 children, and medical supplies for approximately 10,000 people in Libya. If you are interested in helping, you can click here.

Morocco Earthquake
The High Atlas Foundation, a Morocco-based U.S. nonprofit, is providing food, water and shelter to families in the High Atlas Mountains displaced by the earthquake. The foundation is also committed to long-term restoration and rebuilding. You can help the foundation reach its fundraising goal by donating here.
Banque Alimentaire (or "Food Bank" in English) was founded in 2002. The organization collects food from various donors, which it distributes to people in need via more than 200 associations across Morocco. You can donate to the organization here.
Doctors Without Borders has sent 10 staff members to Morocco to assess what the local hospital needs are and how the organization can support the Moroccan government with supplies or logistics.
GlobalGiving’s Morocco Earthquake Relief Fund had raised nearly $500,000 by Monday afternoon to provide food, water and shelter to those who have lost their homes in the earthquake, as well as supporting long-term recovery efforts.
The International Medical Corps, a global humanitarian organization, is working with the World Health Organization to send medical units and supplies to Morocco. You can donate to the IMC here.
The World Central Kitchen, a global organization founded by chef José Andrés that provides meals on the front lines of humanitarian disasters, is using helicopters and off-road vehicles to get food to communities affected by the earthquake. You can donate to World Central Kitchen here.
CARE Morocco, which launched in 2008, focuses on youth and disadvantaged groups in rural areas of the country. You can donate to its Earthquake Emergency Fund here.
The International Federation of the Red Cross is working with the Moroccan Red Crescent on the ground to assist in rescue operations. They are also providing first aid and psychosocial support to the injured. You can donate to the IFRC here.

Hawai'i Community Foundation - accepting donations through its Maui Strong Fund. The foundation has already raised $1 million to help fire victims, Hawaii News Now reports. Earthquake: Turkey and Syria (accepting donations)
UNICEF - prioritizing water, sanitation, hygiene and nutrition, and also focusing on helping unaccompanied children locate their families
Global Giving - fund emergency medical workers’ ability to provide food, shelter and medicine, among other necessities
Red Cross - Disaster Response Emergency Fund so it can send “immediate cash assistance"
OXFAM - working with women’s cooperatives in Turkey to determine an appropriate immediate and long-term response plan
