Benevolence Ministry

The basic principle that the Mercy Ministry operates under is that it is a bridge to help members move from a financial crisis to stability. Key elements of help include the following:

  1. Provision for specific needs with compassion and encouragement.
  2. Policy specifies what GC will help with as well as what it will not.
  3. GC does not give cash to anyone (member or non-member) but provides direct relief through bill payments, gift cards or referrals.
  4. Accountability for funds to provide lasting help and not just relieve pressure.

GC's Mercy Ministry attempts to include various ministries in the church to help members grow in God's grace to enable a lifestyle of godly stewardship. Primarily this help comes from GC's community group leaders. However, the Mercy Ministry "bridge" is an excellent means of grace to refer members to other ministries in the church such as the Financial Discipleship Team, re|engage and Soul Care.

The Needs

  1. Food (debit card)
  2. Clothes
  3. Rent or mortgage (paid directly to landlord or mortgage company)
  4. Electricity/gas/water utility bills (telephone bills only with exception)
  5. Certain emergency expenses as determined by Mercy Ministry

Please start the process by filling out the Benevolence Application.

HELPs Team

The Grace Church HELPs Team is an extension of Grace Church's Mercy Ministry. The purpose of the HELPs Team is to serve members of Grace Church of Frisco who require assistance and are either unable or do not have the ability to achieve certain repair services for themselves. An additional goal is to mentor others in the skill(s) needed for repairs.

Please fill out the HELP's Application.
