  1. Jeff argued that the preceding chapters of the Gospel of Matthew detail Jesus’ aim for people to know what He is like before He asks them to say Who He is. What has Jesus been showing you that He is like? How has this impacted your ability to say who He is?
  2. When you participate in this group, are you aware that you’re co-laboring with Jesus to fulfill His promise to build His church? Why or why not? 
  3. How does the setting (of Peter’s confession and Jesus’ promise) meant to shape the way you view the people in your life, including but not limited to the next generation?

  2. Are you more aware of your desire for change in a world of permanent repetition orof your longing for permanence in a world of constant change? How does this desire impact your relationships?
  3. How can embracing the truth that life is permanent repetition free you to love those around you? How can embracing the truth that life is constant change do so?
