When Leaders Fall (Judges 8:4-35)

Community Group Discussion Questions

Making disciples through the mutual ministry of redemptive relationships.

Text:Judges 8:4-35

Sermon Title: When Leaders Fall
Date:March 21, 2021

  1. Read 1 Corinthians 10:1-13. Why does God counsel all of us to “take heed?” What are some ways you can follow this counsel in your own life?
  2. How would you characterize your private, non-public, walk with God: “progressing” or “deteriorating”? Explain.
  3. Are there aspects of your life and work you think you should get more recognition and honor for? How will the gospel of grace help you deal with your successes?**
  4. In which areas of your life do you need to walk more closely, or clearly, in line with the gospel- the gospel that gives all glory to God and is designed to strip each of us of all boasting in self? For example, are you privately crediting Him for the good things that seem to happen through you?**
  5. Can you think of any other considerations that may be contributing to either your “progressing” or “deteriorating” with the LORD? What are they? How can the group be a support to you?
