Loving Jesus

  1. Will you stand before God one day and be judged by your own righteousness or the righteousness of Jesus? Why is the latter superior? How do we receive Christ’s righteousness? How can the way we will stand before God on thatday change the way we walk with Him today?

Loving His People

  1. If we can only relate to God by grace- by receiving the righteousness Jesus earned for us on our behalf and not by our own merit- how should we relate to others in order for relationship to survive and thrive?What happens to our relationships with one another if they lack grace?

 Loving His World

  1. A majority of the world lives for an identity that must be achieved and always sustained. How is Christianity different? In what specific ways will we bless the world if we consistently live from a received identity rather than an achieved identity?

Loving Jesus

  1. In what ways does verses 12-14 say that you’re nearer to Jesus than you use to be? According to these verses, what made the difference? What helps you remember this great transition daily? Weekly?  

Loving His People

  1. In what ways have you bought in to an overly individualistic view of salvation? If you were to make progress in better focusing on the “we” of God’s people instead of the “us and thems” or “mes” of our flesh, what changes would we be able to observe? Explain.

 Loving His World

  1. What do you think it would do for your witness to the world to experience former dividing walls torn down in your life? This week, what’s one specific way you can live out God’s story of reconciliation, both as a reconciled person and as an agent of reconciliation?
