  1. Do you ever reflect on your baptism? If so, what comes to mind when you do? Why do we needthis objective, visible demonstration of the gospel? In what ways does it confirm your union with Jesus and nourish your love for Him?
  2. What do you think about reminding a person of their baptism in order to encourage them? Since this is a regular practice in the Bible, why do you think we rarely do the same?
  3. How does baptism distinguish Christians from non-Christians? In what way(s) does this distinction serve as a gospel proclamation to non-Christians?

  2. In what ways do you think the ordination charges Craig gave to Aaron from 1 Timothy 4:12, also apply to you? In what way(s) do you need the grace of God’s people to fulfill these callings?
  3. How is ordaining an elder most about the Lord and what He is doing in His world, even more than any individual elder? In what ways is this also about His people and their role in His world?
