  1. Read Ephesians 4:1-16. What is God’s goal for us as His people according to this text? What is our individual role in Him accomplishing His goal?
  2. Summarize the vision of the church God gives and Craig preached from Acts 2:42-47? How attracted to being a meaningful part of fulfilling this mission do you feel? Why?
  3. In what way(s) have you grown and/or are growing with us in this group? In what way(s) do you hope to grow with us or others this next year? What specific help can we give to you and/or pray for that you need to pursue this endeavor?
  4. How are we doing as a group at being a learning community (learning and growing together)? What do you think God would have you do to contribute to this growth?
  5. What practical step is the Lord leading you to in order to be more devoted to meaningful and “redemptive” fellowship in this group (examples: increased attendance, greater hospitality, improvement in pursuing intentional mutual ministry, more sacrificial serving)? How about to be more devoted to the overall fellowship of our church outside of our group?

 Sermon Title: He Will Do It

Date: December 15, 2019 

  1. Read Philippians 2:12-14. What is Gods responsibility in sanctification? What is your responsibility here sanctification?How are the distinct without being separate?
  2. Which one of the four forms of ministry described in 1 Thessalonians 5:14 do you find yourself in most need of receiving right now (admonishment/warning, encouragement, help or patience?) Explain.
  3. Which one of these four 1 Thessalonians 5:14 commands do you find most difficult to obey? Why?
  4. Who in your community (family, church, school, work, neighborhood) does it currently seem impossible to follow one of these commands with but that God is calling you to pursue? Explain.
  5. What do you think about God being even more responsible for your obedience and sanctification than you are? Why is this good news? How should this reality shape the way you pursue your day-to-day responsibilities?
